Welcome to the Peak Valley Regeneration Pages.
Here you can learn about the history of Hattersley, the community and development work that Peak Valley undertake and also meet the Peak Valley Regeneration Team.
Peak Valley was registered with the Housing Corporation on 25th September 2006, following the transfer of 1725 dwellings from the City of Manchester. The Hattersley and Mottram estate was built during the 1960's, by Manchester City Council and is located in East Manchester in the borough of Tameside. Originally comprising of over 2000 properties, by the transfer date the housing stock had been reduced to 1725, mainly due to the demolition of seven multi-storey blocks of flats. In addition, some of the more hard to let bungalows and cottage walk-up flats were also demolished.
Following some selective demolition of properties after transfer, Peak Valley now own and manage 1348 properties, including the addition of 27 new 2 bedroomed bungalows to the range of homes offered. Peak Valley also manage a further 119 properties on behalf of Contour Homes.
